Caplow Manzano is hiring a motivated and creative early-career professional passionate about resilient, healthy design. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for assisting the design team and preparing detailed drawings on projects of various types and scale including custom residential, multifamily, commercial, and civic.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and contribute to collaborative, leading-edge architectural designs;

• Produce detailed drawings from concept design through construction document phases for ultra-resilient residential and commercial projects;

• Collaborate with team members to meet project timeline, budget, and sustainability goals;

• Review plans and specifications;

• Coordination with jurisdictions throughout the permitting process to obtain approvals;

• Research and understand building and zoning codes and restrictions;

• Research existing and nextgen technologies and green building techniques;

• Assist in any way necessary for successful project outcomes.

Desired Skill Set

• Proficiency in, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam;

• Proficiency in Lumion, InDesign, Photoshop (Desired);

• Passion for ecology, sustainability, and design;

• Personally organized, highly accurate, and detail-oriented;

• Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines;

• Entrepreneurial streak, judgment, and maturity; ability to go the extra mile;

• Strong communication skills; sense of humor; poise under pressure.

Required Experience

• A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in architecture or similar field;

• A minimum of 3 years work experience post-degree
